Re: i got 200 miles in my gtv v6 on a full tank is that right
I put £40 in the other day, I only use V-Power so I got around 32 litres (7 gallons) for my money. For those 7 gallons I drove a mixture of urban/motorway and, of course, hard. I got about 150 miles out of it; working out at around 21-22 mpg. So I'd be looking at getting 300+ miles to a full tank.
Not great, but where the GTV suffers is definitely around town, the needle hardly moves on the open road but get caught in traffic and it drops like a stone.
I guarantee that high octane fuel yields better performance and economy. I've not done a test on the Alfa but my Corrado VR6 gave around 30-40 extra miles per tank with Optimax compared with regular fuel. The Corrado - with it's Schrick inlet and other bits - was far better on fuel than the GTV is, but any car will benefit from spending those few extra pounds each time you fill up.
Cheap fuel is a false economy.
With reliability will ultimately come monotony.....
