Re: The Mediterranean and back... In an Alfa?
Well I'm back from my holiday and have good news! The car made it just fine, as I was sure it would, and I have some interesting fuel economy results:
On the outbound journey, 303 miles covered on a full tank before filling up again once the light came on. 51 point something litres. This made it just over 26.5 mpg, not bad considering that was all at 95-100 and slowing frequently to safely pass traffic in the middle lane.
On the way back, slightly more sensible pace of a steady 80 as it was daytime, 372 miles covered on 59ish litres of fuel - 28.6 mpg!! I have to say I'm really pleased with this, especially as the whole 1600 miles was done with a blown exhaust - the centre section having corroded through where it meets the rear.
So new question: do we think Ragazzon's no-muffler mid section at £99+vat is the way to go, or will it be too loud?
There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those that can read binary, and those who can't.
Driving: Vela Blue V6 Gtv 5spd, blue Momo leather
Gone but sorely, sorely missed:
Meteor Grey Gtv Lusso | 17" Teledials | Bilstein rear shocks | Ragazzon straight thru s/s centre exhaust | Some crappy Halfords air filter. Perfect condition and still 220bhp after 95k
