New Car and dead car

Hi everybody i have spent the last month stripping down my old 1996 gtv due to a very poorly engine, i decided to seek out a replacement car over replacing the engine. The new car was only £200 more than an engine re-build. being a GTV it came with its odd problems, but having a spare car made things easier.

Valve head dropped off, found it within the cylinder, looked like somebdy had beaten it with a hammer, same goes for the main spark plug.

A messy piston head and check out the distortion of number 2 cylinder at the bottom.

Currently selling and have sold bits on ebay, well so far only paid listing fees as the two items have been picked up with cash on collection.
so heres the new car. this years bargain with 6 months tax and a years test for £1500. The cars a 1997 reg so a year younger but its had an engine rebuild, and im amazed as this one hasnt used any oil yet, im just not used to it i was getting through a litre every two weeks with the old one.

Looks nice and shiny. With your eBay gains yes, change the wheels and what would really sort it is to colour code the black sills/bottom of the bumpers

Re: New Car and dead car

If you've got the wheels off the old one I'd swap 'em over. Much classier!

Looks like a right bargain!

On the oil use front, my twin spark never ever needed any between servicing. Touch wood the same is true of my V6.
