Re: air flow meter! help!

Well I had mine off this morning, and give it a clean. Put it all back, checked the pipes for splits etc...
I did the throttle reset, and it seemed fine while running at idle.
Then went for a spin on the motorway, and although it did have some flat spots when going up the revs, it was like s**t off a shovel.
Driving back home on the normal roads, and it started hunting again so it looks like a new MAF for me....

Re: air flow meter! help!

Changed my MAF today with a new one. Make sure you get the cheapo socalled "reconditioned" part. 71787966 for a CF3 2.0 twinny.

Fitted the "new" one, and she went like never before. Once I got home, I cleared the fault codes, took her for a small spin, and she went like stink. The best £150 I've ever spent at the dealers .

Re: air flow meter! help!

Guys, is there any way the MAF would cause a misfire? mine went into garage months back and came back to me misfiring - i remember it had a flat spot about 4000rpm back then. since then ive had low power, misfiring when cold or trying to floor it. Well i cant floor it now it just wont let me....
