Re: Front powerflex bushes
There is a diagram on the Powerflex site showing where all the bushes should go. I bought a set recently for my V6 after reading on here about how good they were, and after removing the the first two rose joints from the rear was regretting taking out such superior joints to replace with a couple of lumps of plastic and a steel tube which relies upon revolving around a bolt in order to work. However, as the suspension had been creaking and banging I gritted my teeth and carried on with the vandalism. When all bushes were removed the score was that three of the eight rose bushes were toast, having dried out and then worn out, while only one of the ordinary bushes appeared faulty. It seems that preventive maintenance would have preserved the superior rose bushes, all you have to do is take off the rubber seal and refill with grease. I haven't fitted the powerflex ones yet, so cannot comment further, but I must say that at this stage it seems as though I am taking a retrograde step for the sake of economy.
