A negative from me I'm afraid and they actually lost my custom a few years ago...
First episode included parts I ordered which they then subsequently misplaced somewhere. It took a number of weeks of chasing them for replacements before I finally gave up and ordered the parts from somewhere else instead
The second episode was when my cambelt slipped and caused damage to the top end. They took my car in to investigate the problem and then quoted me over £2k to do the repairs
I refused to pay such an extortionate price so had the car towed back to me to find they hadn't given me back my auxilary belt. They couldn't find it in their workshop and refused to replace it
Strange that seeing as it was on the car when they got it. I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of pursuing the matter any further so just bought a new one at my own expense. I did all the head rebuild work myself in the end for ~£500 in part costs (which I didn't order from B&W).
A few months later B&W rang me saying they had my parts (from the first episode) and when did I want to collect them. I said thanks but no thanks
More than one bad experience means that I haven't been back to Black & White again since and don't intend to in the future. The only good reason to go there is to see the SZ they keep in their showroom (asuming they still have it). For anyone in the Newbury / Reading area then I recommend using Auto Integrale
instead who are an independant Italian car specialist based in Aldermaston. They're cheaper and they know what they are doing.
