Used GTV Prices

Why are they so low?

And they dont show any sign of stopping really - you see loads of nice Phase 2 3.0 GTVs with reasonable mileage for sub 5k now - and the prices seem to be dropping further.

I guess they are just not old enough to be appreciated as a classic design.......maybe if I hold onto it for another 10 years it will start to appreciate.

Alfa's in general loose a lot of money.
They are great cars, but they are not so cheap when they go wrong.

Do you think its just Alfa's? It seems to me that the second hand car market in general is quite poorly.

Re: Used GTV Prices

Its probably due to a combination of high fuel prices, the fact that no one has any money, and Alistair "don't call me Darling's" road tax hike next year.

Its not just Alfa's that are affected..

The only cars that seem to be getting more expensive are small buzz boxes.

Re: Used GTV Prices

The earlier phase 2's have always been quite low, but the very highly maintained later phase 2's have been selling for over £6/6.5k (with the right spec) a £5k can quickly become a £7k after repairs.
