Thanks 6meister for the guide though!
Stole a good fork, though my ma noticed when she came out to nosey what I was "hokin at that wee sportscar again"
- The circular clip didn't want to give up it's hold, then went flying into the ether. I was hoping to get away with a couple of washers and a new generic circular clip, but a trip to B+Q didn't offer up any circular clips, so I will try the independent DIY shop or a locksmith during a lunchbreak. The badge is staying on, just when you rotate it it comes out slightly, worried in case this causes the spring to come out and get lost, or the badge to fall out.
- Somehow I managed to break the lock mechanism. Wouldn't shut without a spectacular slam, which it didn't need beforehand. Turns out the wee metal bar from the mechanism came lose, I'd put it back in the wrong way. Got it right in the end.
- The wee spring. Trying to get it co-ordinated in the badge hole and the lock whole, what a pernickity pain!
But after all that, it does look better! Before and after pics tomorrow (no bluetooth laptop at home).
What a difference!
