I have my car sales selling BMW's, Mercs, Jeeps and Discos and Jags, but I always buy an Alfa for the other half, as we both love them. When ever we get a good one in p/x they always fly out the door as well. I just sold her 5dr 02 147 Lusso and she and the boys have really missed that Alfa, so saw this and thought, yes that will do!
She drives wonderfully well the only problem is the usual diesel rattle on idle, never heard one this bad though, my guess the guy took into his local garage who have been dropping the oil out and normal servicing, they said "erm sounds expensive" and he bailed out of the HP?
She will be having a timing belt replacement this week 3rd in 90K miles but also the variator (s) will be done as well, I looked in the data book and they list two off, I thought there was only the one, can anyone help?
Also, what is best, Alfa dealer part or pattern, or are they the same? Being the boring sensible guy I am I always buy OE, again can anyone advise?
