Dints and Scratches

Okay guys,

I have a 2001 Black GTV (with red leather ). Now, the problem is that there are a few extremly deep and noticeable scratches on the body work and many car door dints around the bodywork. I would like to make the car showroom contdition again. Is this possible to do on a reasonably low budget?

Any suggestions... (ps: I have T-Cut)

Re: Dints and Scratches

Hi! If the scratches are deep with dent damage, there's not much to do other than go for a repaint of the affected panel - problem is, it's addictive, and difficult to know when to stop! I Resprayed mine, And to 90% of people it looked fine before - but I knew where every tiny little mark was!

Set me back about £1k for a full strip back and repaint - but she's like new now. The bodyshop hadn't seen so much damage (dents wise) on anything so young (8 and a bit when it went in!)

Re: Dints and Scratches

Hey mate

There is a company (forgot the name) but they do a paint less dent removal system where they insert instruments down the inside of the door and somehow push the dent back out and it come up like new

Deep scratches can be filled with a polly filler and sanded down then painted. Only downside it will be noticeable where the new paint is....so this could be a respray job?

I was quoted for the dent removal about $100AUD and it was about the side of a 50c coin in the door from some fools trolley.

Cheers Josh
