In the Uk we are punished worse than most countries in the world, that's just a fact and also a result of global economic position.
If the government is taxing us so heavily then what the hell do they pump that cash back into? In my area I see very little in the way of better public transport services or renewable energy projects.
I guess this thread could become a political rant but from my point of view increased prices here are only going to put more and more people under pressure, especially those who commute to areas not on bus or train routes. A government is supposed to make life better for it's people, right? We are not saints by any measure here in the UK but also not the worst polluters in the world either, but we are a small part of a much bigger problem.
To err is human, but you need an Alfa to really screw things up!
