The chip is a Squadra chip, I remember when I got it that I could feel a difference than before.
Basically the way I test the feeling of speed is simple. I stabilise the revs at 3-3.5k in 2nd and floor it. How far I get pushed in my seat is how fast it feels
In this case the Jetta pushes me back in the seat more. Also in 3rd.
But above 60mph the Spider wins it. Notably from 75mph-100mph takes 5-6 seconds in the spider and 9 seconds in the Jetta.
I know the V6 only had it's belt changed, so the plugs, v-belts, etc are all original parts and done 55k miles now. Perhaps that changing those will make a difference.
If it's the MAF, can I check it somehow? I.e. perhaps disconnect it?
Is there anything I can reset, like the ECU?
I checked the DSG box upshifts, they are more like 0.1 second. (Lol, I'm not Mr Tag Heuer but I've done some racing in the past and know the difference between 0.1s and 0.3s.
I'm just thinking if a 150hp 2.0 Diesel Jetta feels this fast compared to a 230-240hp 916, how much faster must a 204hp Jetta 2.4 VR6 feel?
In anycase I'm wondering what more I can do to the V6 to improve torque short of the 3700cc autodelta option.
