The theory is that the Master has to be used to code new red ones but as you will have noticed on the search that seems to be in doubt. My master does nothing different to the red ones. It's an ongoing topic and there does not seem to be a definite answer. Personally I would feel a little uncomfortable without the master but that's me just being cautious.
In general terms always ensure that you keep the oil level topped up, this is essential to give you long life on the TS, check at least once a week. Some TS use oil, some don't, you'll soon find out.
Cambelt, Tensioners, Variators etc need to be done every 36K/3 years, ignore this at your peril.
Suspension bushes can be a problem but there is a solution to this.
Thing is not to worry too much and just enjoy the car but don't ignore the service recommendation's.
