GTV Missfire

Hi I have recently purchased a 1998 GTV 2.0ltr however the vehicle has a problem when it gets warm after about 15 minutes of driving it develops a terrible misfire. when I bought the car I knew it had problems eg MAF sensor faulty and it needed servicing all these have been done now eg new MAF New plugs (iridium) air filter oil etc cleaned out all the throttle body (full of gunge) the fault seems to start when the temp gauge goes above 50 degrees and when the engine is under load free revving its fine I wonder if someone would be kind enough to point me in the right direction on curing this as I dont fancy throwing loads of money at the car trying to sort it Thanx in advance Rob

Re: GTV Missfire

Sorry no one has been kind enough to answer your question. My immediate thoughts were AFM, cleaning butterfly and new plugs, all of which you have done. Are you certain the correct plugs have been fitted? Anyone with a TS able to confirm for audicab what they should be? I have had a problem with a misfire on the V6 due to water around the plugs. This only manifested itself after 7 miles of driving each time and got worse as temperature increased.

Re: GTV Missfire

Here's what I found on another Thread, it may help.

Found some sparks on eBay which are way cheaper than the cost back home in New Zealand. Only thing is the first NGK code doesn't match the owners manual.
Here's what the seller listed as the codes:

Alfa part numbers: 46521529 & 46521530
