Gap Between Boot Wall and Petrol Tank

Can anyone tell me the gap between the rear wall of the boot and the fuel tank. I want to remove my spare wheel and hang an amp on the rear wall but obviously I am a bit dubious about drilling if I know the tank is flush to the wall!

Re: Gap Between Boot Wall and Petrol Tank

I did just that with no problems by drilling carefully in to the top lip which comes further towards the back of the car. I then used four stubby self-tapping screws and some sticky gunk at the bottom to hold a piece of board along the back wall and mounted the amps (pair of stereo) to that.
