Re: 3.0 GTV oil leak
Garage phoned again, they said I needed a new pipe, so when I questioned them further, they changed their storey and are now saying the power stearing fluid pipe is corroded (it was a oil pipe behind the engine on saturday). I told them I'd not noticed any power stearing fluid leaking, think they're just using this as a cover up storey, now they've realised I know there is no other oil pipe behind the engine.
Anyway they invited me to go down and have a look, which is what I'm going to do tomorrow morning, I expect the pipe may well be a bit corroded, it's 9 years old, but I doubt there are any leaks.
I've been told they have spent 2.5 hours on it so far and about another hour to put it back together.
Parts are around £150 for oil cooler and £76 for the two pipes. And another £30 for the power steering pipe they ordered without my consent.
I'll let you know what happens.
