Ok heres the links to some more pics, I went to see the car today and feel much worse as a consequence!
........ I liked my Spider
Sat in her put in the key and put the ignition on, no warning lights flashing and the windows still work, but I resisted the temptation to see if she would start. CD wouldnt work tho, so Rev and the Makers will be going to the scrappy too!
A few things I noticed was the damage to rear wheel rim, def not there before and could have been the trailer clipping me, there was no stone/Kirbs/hard stuff for the car to hit and cause that damage. The rear subframe has snapped by the shocker mounting, interestingly it looks like there was already a small crack there, you can see the bottom of the fracture is oxidised. But as that wheel took such an impact its difficult to know whether it broke and caused the accident or broke because of it. Equally the lhs track rod end and drive shaft are missing, but I'm sure thats due to the impact.
You can see the whole body is twisted
Its difficult to see what actually happened to the car, first damage was the small tree I took out in the centre of the front, my guess is then I would have been airbourne due to the vertical drop and the car landed on its nose, lost its front bumper, took off again and landed on the right rear wheel, lost its rear bumper and must have been almost on its side - looking at the impact damage but that could be explained by the steep slope I landed on, the car then bounced over to the river (no skid marks?) I'm one lucky guy.
Hope this link works
