Infact I'm almost certain its terminal...
There i was just about half a mile from home, pulled away from a set of lights and hear a knock knock knock
(and that sinking feeling inside when you know thats not right)
I coasted down hill to my turning pulled in, engine cut out, i bump started in and drove very gently the last hundred yards or so then joining that knock was a squeek and clatter, soon enough it became a squeek, knock & clatter symphony (really quite loud), the squeek then went away and now it just sounds like very bad news indeed at idle
I opened the bonnet... oil level fine, most of the noise seems to be from the top end, with an occassional dip in idle speed
I'm sure its fooked? if so what do you guys think is my best course of action now?
I'm already considering recon engine options....is it a big a deal to do a DIY engine swap? or is it bet left to specialists.
