Superficial Interior Spares Needed ('98 Spider)

Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy a new original top for my gear stick (this one shouldn't be too hard to find) and a new button for my hand break (this on will be a nightmare, I'm sure).

The top of my gear stick is very worn indeed and I'd just like to freshen it up a little as it's on of the few things that give the car's age away.

The hand break release button, on the other hand, has started to loose it's metallic coating and is revealing a horrible white plastic. The problem is, I have no idea where to get one and even less of an idea of how to actually fit one.

I think the button is a bit of a nightmare I seem to remember. Mine has had a replacement and it just does it again. Maybe disassemle it and paint it yourself in black?

For spares, try your local friendly breaker. Neil is breaking a spider at the moment, it get bits from him.

alfa spider 2.0 16v for breakinf 97 ph-1 on eBay, also, Alfa Romeo, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 03-Mar-08 16:49:46 GMT)

the gear knob looks ok on that but they all wear badly. You may need to buy a new one from a dealer or a nice aftermarket one if you're wanting it perfect.

If you want a new gear knob, depending on your car they are £60-£120.00 from Alfa. I should know, my previous workplace bought me one as my leaving present! from what I can tell the knob is a bit of a bugger to get off and I haven't even thought about getting a button for the hand brake yet.
