Re: GTV V6 red injector light
Update: Garage ran a diagnostic which came up with the throttle pot as suspected. They disconnected and examined the throttle pot and found nothing wrong with it, they said that while they haven't serviced any GTVs before they have never had to replace one due to being faulty ever. They cleaned the connector, put it back, reset the ECU and no difference. Same slow throttle response and check light. I collected the car in the morning, drove 15 miles parked it for the day, and when I started it the same evening the problem was gone and the check light went out a few minutes later.
However, now the car idles between 1000 (sitting in traffic jam) and 1500 (slowing from motorway) RPM.
Will check that other connector next followed by another ECU reset.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
