Help! I'm stripping the old girl down to make sure she gets through the next 20 years in the state she is now, but I took this off.
It resides under the offside rear wing above the inner wheel arch. It's bl##dy heavy, and I'm guessing has a spring in it, as it has a locking bolt. It is not connected otherwise to the car by wires, springs, hydraulics, electrics or structures. My vehicle nut mate thinks it maybe a redundant component from the early inboard disc brakes that stopped the rears locking.
Any one know what it is, and if it is still relevant? Cheers
