Re: Swimming in the Floods
Story cntinued... As you say this morning i used the kerb knowing that the air take inlet is so low, however the location of a puddle is a village road with a 90degree bend and unfortunatley the water was flowing from passenger side, so with the flow and the engine suction it just filled my air box.
got the air box arm off, which is full of water in the funny shaped box bit that hangs from between the air flow meters, and syphoned water from out of the exhaust manifold. plugs out. Halfords locally do not stock my airfilter so i have taken to drying out by alternate methods, radiator and hair dryer. need to get a new one at some point if shes not broken properly
Battery flat from the rac guy turning it over so i have been to buy a power booster thing from halfords, £39.99. just charging, says it needs around 12 hours initial charge, but my intention is to fix asap so hope fully will do with about 6
