Got the Alfa Bug (Again !!!)

Hi All,

I part exchanged my Giulietta Veloce 16 months ago for a Jeep Renegade but over the last 12 months I started to miss that special, feel good factor that only a Alfa Romeo can give.

After spending a good 12 months of dreaming on ebay & Autotrader I decided to bite the bullet & get my self a 1999 916 TS Lusso Spider.

I was drawn to this one a having an unusual colour combination of silver paintwork & tan leather (never seen another one). It's a one owner vehicle with 109k on the clock but the interior is in pristine condition & the body work is also excellent.

I have already changed the front badge & side repeaters to clear, Only cosmetic jobs left is to repaint the wipers arms, mirror housings & grill mesh. Also managed to find an oval stainless exhaust tip on ebay to go over the existing very rusty trim (not fitted yet).

Mechanically the car has just had a service & all the belts, tensioners, pulleys, water pump etc has been done. Will need remove the cover sills & wheel arc liners to ensure the rust bug has not taken hold.

I have attached a few photos, the GT Black line in the back ground is my Dads car.

Good looking Spider!
Where did you get the repeaters? Partsworld have some OEM back in stock but the price has gone up to 32.99!

Hi,

I paid 1/2 that (14.90 inc. P & P), got them on eBay from a company called AutoArt. They are good quality & also includes a set of bulbs.
