Possible MAF issue ?

Hi guys, car has been on MOT for a while and had a few things done. It hasn't been driven for a while and after it had welding done on it, the guy said the brakes got really crap so not sure what he did but it was fine. Now the car for some reason wouldn't rev. He said based on his experience, it was something to do with a "PAB" ? Not sure what it is (or if that is what it is called), but from my experience, (had this car for 3 years), it was the MAF everytime the car wouldn't rev. The mechanic said he will need go under the dash to clean this thing and check if it is. Any ideas if he is looking at the right area ?

If it was the MAF, can I just ask which one I should get ? I know there is a Bosch one ?

Worth disconnecting the MAF and seeing if there is an improvement. If there is then you have found your problem.
