How to remove ECU after removing glove box?

Hi mates,

I want to put a performance chip in my 19996 Alfa GTV, but after removing the glove box it's still very difficult for me to imagine how to remove the ECU, i can see 2 screws , left and right from the ECU that i'm not able to remove as i do not have enough space to operate in that area (see attached pictures), and without pulling them out i'm not able to understand how can i remove the ecu, change the chip and put it back again.

I need to remove more parts of the dashboard or what's the process? I was not able to find more info on this, as usually they say, remove the glove box and access the ecu but I'm not able to do by just removing the globe box...

Please if someone knows the process it will be very helpful to have more info on this.

Thanks in advance.

The ecu should be held in by a couple of nuts that are attached to a frame. On mine there was just one to the left & one to the right. You'll just have to get a 10mm (IIRC) extension in there.

As above. It's easy on a right hand drive car. Yours being left hand drive might mean you need to remove stuff to get to the nuts.

Those nuts look easy enough to get at to be honest, just need a couple of extensions and angled joiner. I'd be more worried about how to get the connector off, that does look awkward to get at
