Wish I'd seen this before. Would have happily headed over to Alton from Devizes for a final run of the year in the 916 Spider, particularly as the weather is looking good, but other commitments are now on the agenda! I'll keep an eye out for next year's meets.

GTV Cup 131

Hi All,

Glad Brett found the thread.

I am very sorry not to be able to come, but can help with the meeting spot. Assuming that Paddy and Steve are meeting at our usual spot, it is Sainsburys Hedge End (J7 of the M27) Tollbar Way, Hedge End, Southampton SO30 2UH.

Meet in the part of the car park just before the petrol station.

Hope you have a great time and a good turn out.

They meet at Sainsburys in a very precise part of the car park. Steve or Paddy will know the postcode.
The meet is at the South end of the car park, near the Sainsbury's petrol station. Look out for Italian cars.
I'll join you at the cafe, but not at Hedge End this time.

Weather looks like it's going to be dry, maybe even a bit of sun!

Great meet, 15 cars! Weather stayed dry at the cafe, though a few of us had spots of rain travelling.

Thanks James, great event. Actually we made it to 16 cars with the late arriving Alfa GT, photographic evidence attached! Loved the orange Fiat 131 along with all the Alfas. We'll try to make it to another one next summer.

Cheers,

Andy

Sorry I missed it guys. Was on the M27 en route to Sainsburys when I had an offside front puncture. A bit nerve wracking at 80 mph but all seems okay. Will definitely catch you next year.

Yeah Lawrence at Autolusso said he was coming to rescue you and that you might not make it. Most important is you and car are ok. Bad luck but as my old man always tells me - could have been worse.

The Breakfast Club

Hay All

That was a really good meet, nice to see the 2 GTV cup press cars together for the first time in years.
seeing the F355 was a great too, and the orange Fiat 131, and a new Abarth 595 Competizione!!

here are a few pictures of the meet.

Looking forward to this meet starting again in March or April

Good to meet up with you all today and compare notes with some other 916 drivers. Well done those who travelled from further afield too, though by the time I had gone on to Christchurch and back to near Brighton I clocked up over 200 miles. Might need to put my annual mileage up on the insurance!
Cheers Nigel
