It has a belt, and replacement intervals set at 72000 miles (120000km) or 5 years. I wouldn't go over 60000 miles and 4 years though.

You have a 2.4 JTD in a GTV???

no im looking to buy a 2007/2009 alfa spider diesel and im getting clued up on what to look for problem wise because I will spending a fair amount and want the best I can find.

Make sure the waterpump is done at the same time as the cambelt. It is often the cause of the belt failing.
