Help! Pinch bolt stuck

My CF2 V6 started making creaking noises when I brake at low speeds which from other posters sounds like the control arms (i.e. front wishbones) are shot. Sounded like a reasonably simple job and things went swimmingly until I got to the pinch bolt that connects the ball joint to the hub. Ive tried hammering, heating, grinding the the nut off. And swearing, lots of swearing. The bolt still wont budge and to top things off the head has rounded off as a bonus. Does anyone have any idea on how to get the bolt off or am I going to have to remove the entire hub assembly

I had the same issue. Got mine out with an 18mm Metrinch socket. They grip the walls of the nut rather than the corners and are a godsend, even on a rounded nut.

Thanks- Forgot to mention I tried that too! the problem is not enough clearance on the nut end and the bolt head is too shallow for the socket to grip. Ill give it another go tomorrow with a fresh pair of eyes
