Replacement Key

Hi guys,

I was just wondering if it is possible to get a replacement key from my red key ? I do not have the master key as it was lost when the car was sold to me.

Anyway, the rubberized black bit on the key to lock and unlock the car is knackered and the lock and unlock switch on the circuit board actually fell off.

I was looking to replace the key with a new one with a working circuit board - any ideas which stores will do it ? I of course have the original circuit board.

I remember timpsons do it but since I do not have the master key, will this be a problem?

Thanks.

Try zaksystems on ebay. Chris should be able to fix your key for you.
PS he is a member on here too.
Timezone can clone the key as far as code system is concerned without master key but I doubt they could do you a remote locking key.

Thanks - I have emailed him through ebay. Do you just post the key to him? Once I am done with the MOT, I will get this done

Yes post it off. He is usually really quick at turning around keys too.

Getting a new remote control programmed in is a proper nightmare if you don't have the receiver unlock code. If you're remote worked before the switch came off it'll probably be easiest to get it repaired. Remember the remote lock/unlock alarm system and the immobiliser are two separate systems. See the really good guide below for more info.
