Probably about £2500 for a decent second hand 156 V6.. You might want to consider a 2.4 JTD too cause they can be quick, I really have to hammer my 3.2 for it to feel faster than the JTD, its only really at high speed (70+) that the petrol has a big edge over the diesel.
To be fair though Pud your diesel is re mapped, the figures for the std diesel don't read as well as the petrol, except, and its a big except, for the torque.....
Also there is a lot more to be got out of tuning the Diesels, and for less money too.(A remap on my 2.5 is £400 ish and barely takes my car to 200bhp
it doesn't seem worth it for 11bhp, I'd spend it for 60 brake tho....)
I would expect a 2.5 V6 to be quicker than a smaller engined GTV, but it won't be as chuckable.....
A 2.0 twinny may be a good bet as they are "Zingier" at the lights, which may be more use in a lot of cut and thrust town driving?
