Alfa gtv oil capacity

I just changed oil for my Alfa gtv 1997 2.0 ts, it just took 3.5 liters with filter change! is it normal? As I know this model capacity is 4.4 liters.
I'm 100% sure oil is above normal level, and the technician who changed oil for me was surprised too.
Engine sound seems normal after changing oil.
Any idea?
PS: petrol tank capacity for my gtv is only 40liters, as far as I know capacity for this model is 70 liters! Am I missing something here? like unit I use, but I'm sure it's liter!!!!!!

The dipstick is notoriously hard to read. Let it settle over night and try again. 1 litre takes it from min to max on the dipstick

Or did I here that you could end up with the wrong length dip stick.

i measured 4.4 and its way over the max on the stick, almost on the curly wiring. so i dont care about the stick. and i even cleaned the entire stick, and the oil had been sitting for a year so i know there was nothing left in the engine.
