Re: intermittent Knocking on revolutions
Soo, took the wheels off today and had a look underneath. The CV boots are fine, inner and outer. However upon looking underneath the engine there appears to be fluid seeping from where the left hand drive shaft meets the gearbox and where the gearbox meets the engine and the clutch isn't slipping so there is no oil on that.
Update on the symptoms, yesterday whilst out for a drive it ramdomly started again and I noticed that it gets louder when accelerating and stops completly under braking. It doesn't make a difference going around corners, its intermittent on cornering and on straight roads.
Does anybody know if there is a way of checking the gearbox oil level?
