Re: Calling All GTV Cup Owners...
You will be welcome, the club is free to join, other than the cost of the car. Leaving is expensive, around the price of a quad exhaust for my car. PM me for how to sign the cheque

Re: Calling All GTV Cup Owners...
Chris
Cup 68 reg no Y 866 PTF was also an Alfa Romeo press car it was featured in Auto Italia the car mag in January 2002.
I would think that Alfa Romeo head office in Slough would have sold the car on after one year through there dealer network, but where it is now is anyone guess.

I quoted the wrong cup number in my last thread sorry, it should have been Cup 64 and not 68.

Re: Calling All GTV Cup Owners...
I had Cup no.8 (NA51 ZKK), until the autopilot failed on the A444 and it wiped out 3 cars . Ive now got number 44, but I haven`t seen it for 2 weeks as its had the cambelt changed twice due to alfa supplying a faulty cambelt tensioner. No.44 was also an ex-press car, reg Y856 PTF, but is now P111 DJA.

Re: Calling All GTV Cup Owners...
Chris,
I've had No. 82 since April this year down in Bridport, Dorset DT6. Now I say 82 but when I went to check I realised that its down at the garage getting new brake hoses and an MOT. I'll double check tomorrow when I pick up, and get a photo or two uploaded.
As far as I can tell apart from a double exhaust (think Autodelta) all is standard. 42k with cambelt change going to happen this or next month - Looking for a local specialist in Dorset to do this - Any ideas?
Alex

Re: Calling All GTV Cup Owners...
Dan. Have you seen or got a copy of Sunday Times Good Car Bad Car supplement for Feb 2002? J.Clarkson rated the GTV as the best coupe. The picture in the mag is a cup with the reg Y866 PTF, is that yours?

Re: Calling All GTV Cup Owners...
I dont think that is mine, mine is Y856 PTF, but it was definatly a press car, as Alfa press garage was the first owner on the log book.
Just a thought, but am I the only person ever to own 2 cups???

Hi, think I've seen your car parked in Waitrose car park on the roof around 10 months ago when I was thinking about a GTV maybe. Looked nice! I've got a Black TS GTV now.

Re: Calling All GTV Cup Owners...
Hi
That was our car I would think, my wife sometimes does the shopping in Waitrose I don,t think there are any other Cups in Huntingdon/ Cambridgeshire at the moment. There is a guy in Huntingdon with a nice R Reg 3Litre GtV dark blue with the full areo kit on it I saw it last Saturday up in Waitrose.I some times also see a brown looking GTV it as the areo kit, and it looks like it has 18" alloys looks very clean I see it between Huntingdon and the A1 along the Thrapston road sometimes in the evening.I don,t think I have seen your Black GTV about.

I've only just joined and I feel left out! Only a sad GTV V6 owner!
Nearly bought one but it sounded rougher than mine!

Re: Calling All GTV Cup Owners...
Just read back through the posts and noticed someone say their numbered plate is over the heater control, mine's over the middle dial (the fan speed control) under the clock.
Also some lower numbers were registered after mine (Sept 2001) is that something to do with when they were imported?
Not that it matters... just curious.
