Another Wiper Issue

Sorry to all, I realise you must all be sick and tired of wiper questions.
I assure you I've searched and searched for a solution to my problem.

The wipers seem to work in the reverse of the two phases.
During operation the wipers fully sweep to bottom of the windscreen instead of to the midway position I have read described, they park in the midway position instead of the bottom of the screen after the final wipe.

I have removed the motor and took it apart, cleaned the contacts from grease and put it all back together. No change problem still there so I removed again to see if anything was a miss.
Checked the circuit board for damage or missing solder all fine so I thought about something being 180 deg out, I changed the 2 positive terminals around inside the motor casing to see if that would make any difference.

This still hasn't cured the problem.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Oh sorry it's on a Series 1 GTV

Many Thanks

Phil

I'm sure I read a thread that says there is a wiper control unit above the brake/accelerator pedal, it's a bit hard to get to, but it can be seen by laying in the foot well and looking up behind the fuse board. My wipers do also have a mind of their own I need to have a look if it ever stops raining.

have your wipers ever operated correctly?? it seems to me that maybe the disc inside the motor housing (that controls wiper position) Has somehow shifted..

Thanks for your help

I've taken the whole motor apart there was no signs of anything a miss, I'll try and find the relay that controls the wiper mechanism and replace with one from a local scrappy

Cheers

Phil
