Which exhaust setup do I need to for this sound?
Alfa Romeo GTV6 3.5.m4v - YouTube
Utterly superb sound from this.
Does anyone have an exhaust setup that gives this type of sound from the GTV V6?
I don't want any boomyness at all, just that throaty sound as the revs climb.
I know there are lots of clips in youtube but most are outside of the car and don't give a representation of what the driver will actually hear.
cheers
Sam

Sadly the old Alfa v6 engine sounds a lot better, my brother has a gtv6 and a gtv v6 both with after market exhausts and nothing compares to the gtv6
His also has the ANSA exhaust system on the gtv6 does sound very Ferrari like!!

I think the 12v engines sound better as standard, but one of the best sounds I have heard was a 75 fitted with a 3.0 24v...

If you fit a decent exhaust along with a decat it will sound pretty decent.

...so a question to all you exhaust experts:
I have a GVT 2.0 V6 turbo.
If I fit an exhasut system like ToxyMatts or one like the Raggazon video ( which in both cases are on a 3.0 V6), ....can I then count on getting the same sound?

The sound from your car will be good, but it probably won't sound as good as a normally aspirated car.
The turbo will tend to smooth out the exhaust pulses slightly, and these are what makes the noise.

Problem on V6 tb is that the turbo silence the noise ... and you don't have 2 FPs but only one ... So you can't fit EL FPs, and this THE part which improves most the sound !!
I don't know how will sounds an Unicorse exhaust on a tb ... But on a 3L it's AWESOME !!!

Its easy to get a fantastic sound from the V6 by using the exhaust from Dan and the wizard
I have them to thank for this .................

Not recommended to bounce your car off the rev limiter though!

That sounds exceptionally good considering the engine is a 4 cylinder.
