GTV V6 - few jobs done

Few jobs done in the last few days.

The Brembos had gone all pink due to lacquer peel so cleaned them all up and repainted them and put on new Alfa stickers, look like they did when it left the factory again

Rubbed down my spare plenum, painted in wrinkle finish black, repainted the lettering red and rubbed back and polished the ribs, done the coil pack cover the same - can't decide whether its better than the red one I've already done

Lastly, fitted the re-trimmed steering wheel, original was feeling and looking well past its best. Went for half nappa, half perforated leather, 2mm extra padding and tan stitching to match the rest of the interior - smells. looks and feels superb

Looks good mate

Can i ask where you got the steering wheel re-trimmed and how much?

Also did you buy a kit for the paint refurb on the calipers and do it whilst they were in situ? Want to do the same but since i only have a trolley jack i think it'll take forever by the time ive done one, waiting for the paint to dry before moving onto the other 3...! Was it a quick dry paint?. Thinking of taking it to a local bodyshop to do it for me instead.....

Thanks

Steering wheel done by Royal Steering Wheels - used them before on my E36 and Jack does a superb job.

Can do any combination of nappa, perforated leather and / or Alcantara together with any colour stitching you want

This was £110 delivered - he can supply wheels on an exchange basis - you pay extra for this but get it back when you return your original wheel

Calipers were done in situ, just some careful masking up

Used Holts VHT spray and clear lacquer (off the shelf in Halfords), red is touch dry after about 20 minutes. They had three coats of red and three coats of lacquer - one tin of each did all four calipers. Left to dry overnight and new decals applied after 24 hours - dead easy

Used Holts VHT spray paint from Halfords - did not remove the brakes, just some careful masking up, not perfect but 100 times better than they were before
