Re: BMC filter

Ebay will be the cheapest place to buy.
How to fitt... The supplied duct is BS. Can fitt using origial intake pipeline. But to be nice and good, recomendations are to get some stainless and silicone piping.

Re: BMC filter

could anyone post pictures of their BMC and how its installed.

I wanted one of these for my V6. (nearly bought it) But I was checking my car because the mechanic metioned I had a non standard intake. And low and behold I already had a BMC intake already (bonus).

The only thing that concerned me was the way the intake points down towards the ground (installed under the maff). Im prolly wrong but wont it just sux up ten times more crap if its installed this way?!?

Re: BMC filter

Do these filters actually make a difference? I had a very similar carbon enclosed filter on my old Leon and all it did was make a very nice noise to make me believe it was quicker. It was a lot of money for essentially a nice looking 'box'.

I read somewhere on the 'net that normally aspirated cars don't really need an induction kit and a performance replacement filter does the job well enough. Turbo'd cars were a different matter. Is this right?

Re: BMC filter

Given that the 2l TS and 3l V6 filters are virtually the same size, I recon it's only of benefit to change the system on the V6.

Is my temporary solution.
Final work should look something like this:

Hmm, how to switch on img code?

Re: BMC filter

Thanks for the help guys,

My stock filter is falling apart and as the BMC is not that much more expensive I`ll put one in. Also, looks pretty cool but not expecting any great power gains
