The data is only as good as Alfa provided initially so its quite likely that it was just not stated for the first couple of years that the GTV was produced

These figures show the vehicles that are still running, regardless of just sitting in a garage. If a car has been exported or imported the figures will adjust.

I do not know where this silver cup has come from but as far as im aware they wernt sold here so must be an import

I don't suppose there is any chance of obtaining figures for the 147 GTA - sorry a bit of topic in the GTV area - just for personal knowlege.

My G/f's GTV is one of 37 in that year which is quite exclusive I guess.

Yes I think my g/f's is Sargassi Green - if that is the mid green metallicy colour.

Its a 98 3.0 V6 Lusso With AeroKit.

Hers has 18" Mesh 3 wheels which I think look ace!

Me too! - sadly for sale at the mo (Alfa Romeo : ALFA ROMEO GTV LUSSO 3.0 V6 24V 220BHP) , getting married and need to save some cash. Shame to part with it really, has been great fun. Interesting to know the numbers.

Thanks for the info JAYDH, but I am a little confused!
The original Registration spreadsheet show 250 black 916 spiders.
The on the road now one says 387! Not even allowing for the scrapped/written off one's, that more than a 50% increase in the original number because of imports! Seems a high pecentage to me!
Could this be right or would some of the black one's be included in the "others" boxes?

in this case i would assume that there are some numbers in the 'other' row that should be in the 'black' row. I am not sure why the 'other' row exists as it should be noted the colour of the car.

I ask as having previously owned a red 1970CC August 1996 registered GTV, there aren't any listed! There are at least 3 that I have driven (and owned in the case of P91RWT).

Unless they are just lumped as "others" as the colour spread wasn't recorded on 1996 cars.

there seems to be an issue over colours so somewhere along the line as some cars are down as 'other', the data is from alfa

I love the rarety of my Spider, imagine the shock of finding myself in a spider sandwich at the lights in belfast! 3 Spiders in a row, any one work out the odds for that?

Very remote I would think themezz! Reminds me of the time back in August 1996 on an early sunny Sunday morning stopping at the lights at the end of Whitehall (Trafalgar Square end), I was in the middle lane of three with the top down on my red Series III Spider (vintage 1988). Then along comes a series 4 Spider (in red) stops on the inside lane (top down), then 30 seconds later a red Jaguar E type convertible (top down) stops on the outside lane. For about another 45 seconds three red convertible cars together in a line at the lights, no other traffic behind, no one walking the streets except the pidgeons, three people laughing at the co-incidence in one of the most iconic locations on the planet.

Where are the photographers when you need them??
