Re: Official 916/946 UK Registrations
Haha, nice one Vela. Unless my maths is still MIA (likely) the chances of 8 GTVs parking up next to each other not at a meet is something like 1 in 3.9*10^29. That's a lot of zeros...

I guess we can scratch a twinny from the list of remaining ones left thanks to Top Gear...

Re: Official 916/946 UK Registrations
Very interesting... mine needs a respray and is looking to cost about £2k... now I know that it's one of only 320 red v6s (assuming they're all still running) in the UK the price doesn't seem so bad. Mind you if I got it sprayed green it would be one of 67

Re: Official 916/946 UK Registrations
Using that logic if you get it sprayed pink with yellow spots it would be the UK's only Mr Blobby GTV V6. Surely the value would skyrocket

Re: Official 916/946 UK Registrations
1 in 14 of these in the country:
Alfa Romeo : GTV 3.2 V6 Lusso - PRICE REDUCTION
This might sound like an exaggeration, but I win the Euro millions tonight, this car will make up part of my fleet. My every day car if you will. Neve really liked the P3's, but I think I know why: it looks great with those teledials!!
Sorry for diverting from the original thread.

Re: Official 916/946 UK Registrations
Those figures are really interesting! I wonder if there is any way of finding out about the 'unofficial' imports before 1996? Just shows how rare the 916 Spider really is, can't remember the last time I saw another one in my area
And the P3 3.2 V6 Spider numbers are definitely reduced by at least 1 to 38: a black one was broken last year.

Are the "Cups" included??
If so, 1 in 4 roadgoing GTVs is likely to be a Cup !!
yes, cups are included and will be under the red v6 category, they are not listed separately as the report is by colour and engine size only and they are not very different anyway (dont shoot me cup owners)
also on the import side of things, these figures are only for cars initially sold in the UK and therefore not counted in this data, as its a favour i didnt go into more depth.
AGAIN, I HAVE ASKED FOR CURRENT VEHICLE NUMBERS ON UK ROADS!

Re: Official 916/946 UK Registrations
Will be interesting to see how the numbers have changed, due no doubt to cars being broken (ebay seems to be littered with breaking GTV/Spiders). Guess the 'import' position is more difficult to determine anyway. Mine was a personal import in July 1995, the chap in question lived in Rome and also in London, and wanted to keep the new Spider here. The Verde Tropico Spider must have caused quite a stir in London back in the hot summer of 1995

Re: Official 916/946 UK Registrations
Imports not included I guess is difficult to track, mine being a case in point being a LHD Turbo from Belgium..
Certainly will be interested in the figures when they come through for current cars and thanks for posting up the official sold numbers.

Yes I'd be curious to know the figures on ones left in the UK..
Makes my photo from the meet at Applecross all the more sweet I guess!

That is a very interesting piece of info.
Many thanks to jaydh for going to the trouble of finding out for us!
Only 81 "grey" 3.0 Gtv's... wonder how many still around?

And I bet your P2 GTV injunfighter will be the only one with the extremely rare P3 Enzo five-spoke wheels!
Really surprised though at the low numbers of Verde Tropico cars, all concentrated in the P1's, omg no wonder I never see any of these cars!!

Re: Official 916/946 UK Registrations
That looks just perfect injunfighter Now I'm keeping my Spider, I'm on the lookout for another set - extremely unlikely, as there are at the most 96 P3s in the UK (58 GTVs and 38 Spiders), and not all had the 'Enzo' upgrade wheel!

Well Spider, as you might guess, you won't be getting these ones back!

Don't suppose your colleague could do one for GTA's?
I'd be very interested to know how many there are and of what colour.
