Re: Modded GTV pictures thread

i think many of the modifiers ruin their gtv's or spiders by these silly stupid looking exaggerated skirts or wings or bonnets ..

i would have to agree, ive just replaced my side repeater cover with clear ones (silver paint) and it looks much better. i was thinking of colour coding the door handle but its probably too much fuss for a one off job...

next task is for new AF badges to tidy the car up, other than that its pretty much perfect imo

Like I just mentioned in another post to you jaydh, check for trickii's posts of a few weeks back, I think it was he that did the aerial thang and colour coded the 'handles' on his silver GTV. Looked a really good, subtle job.

I always liked the look of the extendable aerial.

Especially if you sanded it lightly to restore the even silver colour.

Re: Modded GTV pictures thread

Here's my 2p's worth:

The pininfarina styling is great, though the designers had to make some comprimises in the styling to retain practicality - mainly the front bumper, it should come down a few centimetres lower so that it follows the line of the side skirts, but they made it as is so that it wouldn't hit curbs etc. - so I think that the Novitec or JMS front splitter does a great job of subtly improving the car's lines.

Hopefully I'll be adding one of them in the future, (specially as they're both quiet cheap), which will complete mine as I've got a low key quad exhaust and is lowered on eibach springs. + maybe some good 18s when the tyres need changing..

The Cup kit is nice, somtimes I think it's slightly ott, but I'd have it over the standard everytime.

Lester and Cadumaro are just far to extreme and don't do the car any favours - except make it individual.

Luke's Proteo red GTV was a great example, but I personally don't rate the Autodelta front splitter at all.
Have seen one with the AD skirts and Novitec front and they went great together.

Not sure if these links will work for everyone, but are the two of the best around:

Re: Modded GTV pictures thread

Wow, Petar's car is stunning...

True, the AD front splitter is a little too much, and I've never been a fan of the Cup kit either, too OTT, especially the wings.

Sorry, were there any pictures of cars on that site?

Being a Cup owner even sometimes I look at it and think 'Is it a bit much' especially with the huge spoiler.

Before I got the Cup the plan was to buy a standard V6 and put skirts on all round, but no spoiler, with 5-spoke wheels. Then I saw my first Cup in the flesh and fell in love.

Re: Modded GTV pictures thread

I blame you Jim for wanting to get a GTV, after seeing yours at Longleat I subconsciously fell in love and then longed for a GTV,

So, at long last I have one, albeit not a cup, but still bloody enjoyable,

Hi Phil. This is my car with Novitec front spoiler and Autodelta side skirts.

Rear also looks good - Autodelta quad exhaust and upper and lower aprons.

Re: Modded GTV pictures thread

Some more. The GTV is the 3.7 on the video I posted in the tuning thread.

The 156 is a 3.8 with ITBs
