1997 Gtv Idle Speed

Does anyone out there know how to adjust the idle speed (tickover) on a 1997 GTV twinsaprk mine is idling at 1500 which is too high, i can't find where to tweek the tickover down like you can on most cars.

you cant adjust it yourself. you may have to get get it reset by a dealer. mine does the same. i ahve has the throttle body cleaned, idle actuator changed and it still does the same. could be the throttle body needs replacing if the mechanism has been buggered by manually opening the butterfly. also check for cracks in air intake pipes.

Yes, I believe that the idle speed is done on the ECU programming so not really a DiY task I'm afraid.
