Unforuneately it's not a binary fault ie it's not a case of works or doesn't.

The majority of GT's will probably be suffering some form of EGR valve detioration....the really bad ones (myself included) were blatently obvios.

finally, some action. We gave up with the Basingstoke guys, contacted Whitequay in Reading and were promised one for today. We are now assured the part is on the shelf waiting for us and the car is in tomorrow for diag and repair. Cant wait!

Nice one - keep us posted....mines still flying although the improvement in economy wasn't quite as much as i'd hoped....probably about 8% better than when it was at it's worst. Still it's been like driving in Siberia last 2 weeks so that's probably keeping it artificially low

All fixed! It flies again. Whitequay seem very efficient. I still don't understand why they can get the part but Tony Purslow can't.
