Koni FSDs - where to get fitted?

Anyone got a suggestion of someone who will supply and fit these (at a good price!) in Hants/Sussex way ideally or S or SW London?

cheers

Re: Koni FSDs - where to get fitted?

I saw a post in the mods forums saying that awesome gti have the best deal for the shocks (for the 156 GTA they are £350+vat). You then only need a local garage that can handle the install.

The poster on that thread had a full alignement done afterwards (which was heavily recommended) but was right chuffed with the results.

I don't suppose Micheldever tyres can source and fit, can they? They do a lot more than tyres, know their stuff, and have excellent alignment facilities on site... Just up the road from me, handy when I need new tyres!

Re: Koni FSDs - where to get fitted?

Thanks guys, have rang a couple of indies recommended here. For the Koni shocks supplied and fitted plus alignment and changing rear bushes which was also recommended at the same time its looking best part of 1200 quid!!

Do I really need to change the rear bushes to the Powerflex ones? I thought this was a GTV issue?

Re: Koni FSDs - where to get fitted?

I personally would change all upper and lower wishbones and ARB's if fitting new dampers, but would use standard ones. Should be good for another 3 years or so then. It may not need it, but with all the other work taking place and an alignment around the corner, it seems like good timing.

If you get them, I'll be very interested to see how they are. Are you keeping standard springs?

would keep the standard springs, have spoken to a few people who think there's no need to change them. At 1200 quid I'm not sure its going to happen anytime soon but will drop a line if it does!
