Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone can help me,I have a 156 gta 2002 and would like to know if there is a way to reset the service light on the centre dash board mine has come up and say service needed in 23 days.i had it serviced in nov last year but they must have forgot to reset the dam thing i had it serviced in london veloces and i live in norfolk.
Many thanks,
Aharkel!!!
If your counter is in miles, then you dont need to set it to kms. Also, you dont need to turn on the lights, simply hold down the + and - buttons together. Pablo, how long did you hold them, I think you need to hold them for at least 10 seconds.
used info to scroll to service.
entered the service bit, said it had expired.
help the + and - together for what seemed an eternity (about 15s in reality)
reset itself to 12000 miles ish
No worries. I watched my (now ex) dealership do this, cos they'd forgotten to reset it after a service so I went back in and told them. The manager came out and did it infront of me!
Just tried this method on my 2003 156 2.0JTS and it works fine. My previously 'Expired' Service period is now reset to 12,424 miles (which will be 94,000m ??) Thanks.
Doesn't work for me. I've held the buttons down for minutes and no success. But I'm not bothered - I can monitor when it needs a service myself. It's not hard.

Strange. Maybe they changed the setup on the later cars.
A lemon? I hardly think so - lemons don't get selected for the "special display" at SAD Must be something to do with the fact it hasn't been near a stealer for two years.....
