Alfa GT

Hi

Recently bereaved of a fiat coupe 20VT, and I'm seriously considering an Alfa GT. Used to have a 155V6, so not too fussed about the GT V6, but my question is how well does the GT handle miles? Anyone done serious miles yet?

Ones in my price range seem to have 60 to 90k on them....am I wasting my time?

Re: Alfa GT

My 2 year old is over 50K now, was 46K 6 months ago when I got it.
You probably won't go for the diesel, but its worth trying one.
Driven hard I think they require suspension and brake upgrades. Also better with leather, reverse sensors, and a wheel option.

Re: Alfa GT

I could be wrong but i'd imagine the Diesel engine is better for high miles. Most diesel run & run,guy at work has a golf diesel that's done over 150K and he reckons it's never run better, also says economy is improving.

Agree.. if your going to buy a GT with high miles you would probably be better off going for a JTD.

Recently read somewhere that well serviced diesel engine is good for 300,000 miles

Re: Alfa GT

Hi

The diesel engine used in the GT is the same engine used in the SAAB 93 and is fantastically reliable this is why I think the diesel GT is holding its residual value so well.

Don’t be scared off by a diesel GT that has done high mileage. I had one here that had done 70k and it ran really well. Just look after it and keep it well serviced, it will basically last you as long as you love it and look after it.
