Ropey 3.2 GT

Running down the M27 this morning and noticed up ahead a car spilling ( what seemed like ) large ammounts of white smoke as it joined the motorway from the accel lane, thought hmm that cars not got many miles to go.

Then got closer and noticed it was a GT in 3.2 flavour, shocked.

He stayed middle lane speeds, but surely this should not happen on such a new car ?

I'm pretty sure there is no way the water content of a cold car would throw up so much steam to look like an old datsun with 250K on the clock ?

Anyone we know ?

Re: Ropey 3.2 GT

Was it smoke or steam? Oil smoke will have an acrid smell. If smoke, if could be anything from overfilling to piston/valvegear wear to someone sticking some diesel in it. If steam, and coming from the exhaust, could be a failed head gasket. Either way, it should indeed not happen to so new a car unless abused in some way!
