3rd Year Warranty

Further to my oil in water thread.....

My car has around a month to go in its 3rd year warranty period. However, since this is a dealer warranty and I had my last service done independantly, will this mean the warranty is now void? (I know in the manufacturers period of the warranty this is ok to do), but not sure about the dealer warranty.

Re: 3rd Year Warranty

warranty will be fine so long as proper parts were used and you can prove that you followed the schedule, they probably won't even ask.

Re: 3rd Year Warranty

I thought year 3 was dependent on using authorised dealers as its an 'extra benefit'

Dont worry my engine was replaced under the third year dealer warranty. The 12000 mile service was carried out at Black and White who are specialists but NOT Main Dealers. The dealer who dealt with my engine just ensured that the car had been serviced and also checked that the third warranty was in place. After that it was all systems go.

I think Sandys has it right.

Good luck but I'm sure you won't need it.
