Re: Hi all.. Im new, need info.. Supersprint or Ragazzon???
The Alfa V6 is indeed a glorious engine no doubt about that but i can see where ukoldschool is comming form, a lighter turbo engine would definately help the handling of the car but i can't help feeling that you would loose the soul of the car...

Re: Hi all.. Im new, need info.. Supersprint or Ragazzon???
sound is of course 'part' of the package, but im under no illusions as to the prowess of my car. The only real time the alfa V6 has been put into a car that handles well are the 75 and its supercar brother the SZ. Other than that you get an extremely charismatic but ultimtely flawed nose heavy car with 'personality' (164, 156, 147).
for me the sound is a nice thing to have, but id sacrifice it in a second for a less nose heavy drive, but unless we put the front seats in the back and re-position the engine behind the front axle line (ala SZ) theres no way for that to happen

I also heard that, I think its because it was too wide for the 147 engine bay...
although the 20v turbo lump is actually heavier than the arese V6 so although we could be happily sitting here discussing what a very easy to acheive tuned 350bhp is like, the car woudl probably handle worse than it does now

Re: Hi all.. Im new, need info.. Supersprint or Ragazzon???
Hey ukoldschool, Looks very very nice.. Neat and simple. If you dont mind me asking, how much was it and does csc make the rest of the exhaust system? What sort of sound does it produce? Are they 80mm tips? And one more thing, could you please give me some info on which web site i can find them on.... Thanks

Re: Hi all.. Im new, need info.. Supersprint or Ragazzon???
Alfisti sell the CSC stuff but they arent much difference in price to the Ragga stuff.
Was looking at the Quicksilver setup but its only the backbox and its £475. Seems a bit pricey compared to the SS/Ragg.

Re: Hi all.. Im new, need info.. Supersprint or Ragazzon???
Hi all,
The reason I went for this over the Ragazzon is partly down to the design of the box. The raggazon is larger physically, and it has an odd triangular shape which I dont quite understand.... Also the fact that every tom dick and harry has a raggazon, and I personally dont liekt he fact that they will sell you one happily, yet also sell an identical one to Autodelta to then stick profit on and sell to you....
But also I know csc products are good quality, and they have a proven track record with the arese V6 engine from the original GTV to 75 and SZ. Ive got no idea about raggazon so its an unknown quantity to me. Yes its twin 80mm, no idea if they do the centre pipe or not as im really not interested in anything that will increase the noise over how it is already I would have thought yes though, although this back box will probably work with the othe rbrands of centre pipe as theyre all the same diameter as stock.
Cost is pretty much the same as the raggazzon at £237 +vat I got mine from:

Re: Hi all.. Im new, need info.. Supersprint or Ragazzon???
Thanks for that.. I just emailed ebspares about price and what ever and also if they can ship to Australia... I had specify wich one it was as they dont have on there parts list.. Reason why i asked if it was stainless is because it dosnt specify that either.. Are you (ukoldschool) enjoying your new back box, sound good??

Re: Hi all.. Im new, need info.. Supersprint or Ragazzon???
when I ordered it they sent em a scan of the page from the CSC product catalogue - ask them for that. They make mild steel ones as well as stainless which are obviously cheaper.
Sounds great but then I would say that eh
