What a shame........
But what a glorious glorious sound.
Big question though... why does it take a Japanese exhaust manufacturer to make an Italian V6 sound like an Italian V8, and why can it not be done here surely the sound can be engineered by a competent custom exhaust maunfacturer????
Per
The japanese manufacturer obviously has a vast knowledge of vehicle acoustics and has tuned specific frequency orders so that he can get the exhaust sound like that. I believe that there is some serious acoustic development involved with this system and thats why it has a high price. In the same way car manufacturers tune their exhaust systems to match the car's DNA and market expectations.

Extremely difficult to work with.
Well, they offer a system for the Enzo at least, but I'm certain Alfa GTA is next on their list! =)
I have already asked Tubi which they only developed one for 2.5 V6. It looks very ordinary. I don't know the sound of it. I know Tubi sounds good on Ferrari but I guess it is not easy to Ferrari sound bad, right?

Very true - but tunign a vehicle to sound good as opposed to performing good may not be mutally compatible.....

What diameter pipes are the supersprint and ragg?
Im considering a custom job from the manifolds back. Probably work out much the same price as the centre and back pipes from a namebrand.

Re: Hi all.. Im new, need info.. Supersprint or Ragazzon???
Hi everybody.... thank you all for all your opinions... I wish there was only one option. Would anyone happen too have a dyno report on Ragazzon??? Just wondering if one puts out more horse power than the other, does anybody know?? Supersprint displays it on there site and i cant seem to find anything on Ragazzon. Ohh yeah, almost forgot. One more question. Do the two sound similar, which barks more???? thanks again all

Pablo,
Be careful if its a Powerflow custom, I notice a few people with GTV's have had problems with them not using stainless steel and bad welds.

Of course not mate. But at the same time would you have 20hp increase with sh1t sound exhaust. Sometimes sound and look are quite important otherwise Ferrari won't exist. I'm sure the reason you have GTA is something relate to the sound and look. Otherwise you should drive Subby or Evo which is better performance. But where is the design and sound?

Well im odd then cause id take a 20bhp increase and a 'sh1t' sound any day! I drive a gta because its a nice easy to drive everyday car. Its not a 'real' performance car, but it has a good blend of decent power, good brakes (when upgraded of course) and it isnt a car you see very often on the road. The interior -which is of course where you spend all your time- is the reason id never buy a subaru or any jap car, and all the evo's just looks like chav cars to me so regardless of how it drives im not into it. The 'sound' isnt an issue for me, I would prefer a 2.0 16v turbo 147 GTA if it were available (and i bet it would handle a lot better with less weight over the front) to be completely honest... but thats why I have an Integrale as well

Re: Hi all.. Im new, need info.. Supersprint or Ragazzon???
Hi guys
I have had a Raga silenced centre pipe and back box on my 147 GTA for about a month now.
It sounds really good, not too intrusive, and looks great too. It looks slightly bigger than the standard box, but that fits in nicely with the wider arches and stance of the car.
I also fitted an Autodelta air filter (not the whole pipe) and pick up is slightly better around town, but the difference in performance is not that noticable.
It took a couple of weeks for it to come from Gazella (about £420 for both parts) and £80 to get it fitted.
Go for it

With all due respect, I totally and utterly disgree. I can understand not wanting to bother with exhaust notes, but anyone who says the roar of the Alfa V6 isn't a massive plus point over a wheezy Turbo'd 4pot needs their head looking!
After my Elise and my ITR, I just cant put up with the throttle response and lag of a Turbo. I'd take NA over Turbo'd any day of the week.
The only reason I can think of for wanting a Turbo over a V6 is petrol consumption, but I'd say that was easily trumped by sonorisity and throttle response.

As for Quicksilver, the Lotus guys and girls rate them very well.
