Was looking at getting a 156 GTA but..
have now put a deposit on the Silver one that Veloces have
03 plate with 17500 on the clock.
Very nice, lovely sound on that V6 engine, comfortable to drive (althought it was a shortish test drive).
Only thing missing is a multiplay CD - what do they cost to add on? Or has anyone plugged their IPOD into the car's audio?
Looking forward to picking it up next Saturday

Re: Was looking at getting a 156 GTA but..
No, it won't be, but the garage agreed that I could keep what is left in tax on the car I am p/x'ing. It is taxed to July, so I should get enough back to tax the 156 to end of May 07. I hate having to find £200 to tax a car in December!!
Cheers

@ Per : I tried to connect my Ipod to original autoradio (Blaupunkt)... it doens't work well. I still have the interface wich was about 150 eur. I also have the original multi-CD player from Blaupunkt... but I'm in Belgium! If I remember well the extra cost for this piece was 500 eur.

Re: Was looking at getting a 156 GTA but..
Absolutely!! Wife and kids will be coming with me to collect her next Saturday.
Will want to add a multidisc CD player - single shot is not enough, or add an IPOD connector - does anyone know what IPOD connectors fit with the Alfa radio (is the radio a Blaupunkt?)
This will be mine next week...

Oh yes.....whilst the Meg is blindingly quick, it doesn't have the same soul as the 156's gorgeous V6 burble.

Makes me happy everytime i see how much joy another gets from owning an Alfa. It's the type of thing that can't be explained, only experienced.
Awesome car you have and wish you many, many great times behind the wheel.

It'll be hard to concentrate at work next week - just roll on Saturday 8th!!!
Will need to change my screen saver at work to a Silver 156 GTA now.

I put the answer 2 posts higher....
The Ipod connector is from Dension (Icelink...).

Re: Was looking at getting a 156 GTA but..
rs200, thanks. There is another ipod connector from another company, but what I don't want is one that uses FM, I think it is better to have one that connects in the same way as a CD Multichanger does.

Re: Was looking at getting a 156 GTA but..
Congratulations
WRT the CD-changer, I use a Dension Ice-Link, it works really well and lets you select multiple playlists as "CD"'s. With that in place, there is no way I'd want a CD-changer as well (which is a good thing since it plugs into the same socket). I fitted it myself in seconds.

Re: Was looking at getting a 156 GTA but..
Yes, agree with Jwyatt, got the Dension link in mine, hidden away in the glove box. Cost about £100, then fitted myself in 5 mins. Works well and charges the ipod aswell. Make sure you specify whether you want a cradle or just the socket if you do go down the Dension route.
